Who We Are
Stewardship Asia champions the fact that in order to sustain their own long-term performance, organisations must integrate the needs of society (People) and environment (Planet)

The world is confronted with pressing issues that have the potential to impact the well-being of generations to come. In the face of current geopolitical, economic, and environmental challenges, not to mention a world disrupted by a global pandemic, the notion of stewardship has never been more relevant to business than it is today. Increasingly, business is expected to practise a more responsible operating model. Business needs to be driven by a clear stewardship purpose, possess an enlightened ownership mentality, display a strong focus on relationships with all stakeholders and the community, and take a long term view in planning for and defining success.

Stewardship Asia Centre is a thought leadership centre promoting effective stewardship and governance across Asia and beyond. Positioned to inspire and lead change, SAC builds awareness and capabilities through research, education and engagement platforms that enable organisations to foster enduring success and responsible value creation, and in doing so, benefit the wider community and safeguard the needs of future generations. Established under Temasek Trust, we collaborate with credible partners globally and work with corporations, state-owned enterprises, family-owned businesses, institutional investors as well as non-profit organisations to enable meaningful change towards our vision of business as a force for good.

What We Do
To be a leading catalyst for stewardship excellence in Asia - enabling meaningful behaviour change towards more responsible value creation.

We help business leaders understand and embrace the urgent transformational shift required to build organisations that focus on responsible wealth creation for the long term.

We are focused on building a robust body of knowledge and tools around corporate stewardship, translating theory and concepts into applications and guidance for all organisations. Our research and development takes us from the most pertinent issues within our business landscape to beyond the horizons – long-term orientation, stewardship principles for different stakeholders, diagnostic tools to define and drive stewardship transformation.

We build platforms to engage diverse stakeholders, catalysing and enabling change through content-driven conversations, training initiatives, and collaboration with a regional network of like-minded partners.
